There are many areas that we would love you to get involved in, within the life of the church; as a member. All leaders and helpers must be CRB checked for safe-guarding purposes.
On Sundays:
Intercession
Meet in the prayer room from 9.30 – 10.00am to pray about all aspects of the meeting.
Reception & stewarding
Do you want to be the face of King’s Church? Do you attend a church-in-the-home regularly?
Help to welcome people and settle them in.
Worship
Can you play a musical instrument competently? Can you sing? Do you regularly worship God in private? Do you attend a church-in-the-home regularly? Do you sense a call to help lead the congregation in worship? Rehearsals are held on Sundays (8.30am).
Event production/PA
Are you technically clued in? Do you enjoy practical, hands on tasks? Do you have the desire to see our meetings, especially on Sunday mornings, run more smoothly and efficiently?
Minikids
Would you like to play a part in introducing Jesus to these lovely children? Do you sense God’s call to work with the very young (O – 6 years)? This group meets every Sunday apart from the last Sunday of each month, from about 11.00 am to 12 noon.
Kids
Do you love working with kids? Do you have a child in this age-group (7 – 10 years)? Do get involved in this ministry of making disciples for our Lord. This group meets every Sunday apart from the last Sunday of each month, from about 11.00 am to 12 noon.
ATAAMS (As small as a mustard seed)
11 – 13 year olds
This group is in transition into the adult meeting. Their two special meetings (11.00am to 12 noon) per month focus on training on how to get the best out of and also contribute to corporate meetings. On other Sundays they stay in the corporate meeting, or are deployed to learn how to serve in various areas.
Welcome team
Would you like to help make our first-time visitors welcome? You may have to answer their questions about the Church and help them get connected if they so wish.
The Alley Way (Youth Group)
11 – 16 year olds.
This group meets on alternate Sundays, after the morning corporate meeting/celebration, for lunch and activities. Do you want to see young people established in their faith and able to lead others to the Lord?
Midweek:
Buildings maintenance
There are always jobs to do to improve and maintain the three buildings at King’s Centre.
Coffee shop volunteers (Training provided)
Open Monday, Wednesday and Friday – 10.00am to 4.30pm. Also open for an hour after the corporate meeting on Sundays and during some special events.
Hospitality (seasonal)
This important and hardworking team helps to prepare and serve food for courses and events. They also take the lead in organizing special events such as the annual BBQ and variety Sundays.
Site maintenance
There are always jobs to do to improve and maintain the grounds at King’s Centre.
Over 60’s Morning
Fridays 10.00 –12.00 noon
A snack, a drink, games and a chat on offer.
Visitation teams
Three teams go out to call on members of the community, offering prayers and God’s good news of salvation, healing and deliverance to all who are willing to receive them. Visitation days are Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.
